The journey to create any masterpiece is long and arduous. During his quest to make Journey to the Center of Artomatic, the filmmaker partnered with Life Pieces to Masterpieces (LPTM), a Washington, D.C.- based arts charity that works every day to create its own masterpieces.

LPTM creates two types of masterpieces: artistic as represented through original acrylic collage paintings and personal, as reflected through the transformation of young, underserved, African American males living in our nation’s capital. To date, LPTM has served over 750 young men and created over 1,000 masterpieces in the process.
